Privacy policy

Last updated: 5 November 2026. This policy explains what personal data startwith.ae handles, why, and the choices you have. We aim to comply with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).

1. The short version

  • You don’t need an account and there are no sign-up forms.
  • We only receive your personal details if you contact us — on WhatsApp, by phone or by email.
  • We use them to answer you and, if you ask, to set up your company. We don’t sell them.

2. Information you give us

When you contact us we receive what you send: usually your name, phone number, email address, your message, and — if you used a “Get help on WhatsApp” button — the pre-filled details such as the free zone, activity, number of visas and a reference code. If you go ahead with a setup, we will also need the documents the authorities require, such as passport copies.

3. Information collected automatically

  • Hosting and security. Our site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies.
  • Fonts. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address.
  • Visit counts. We may use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count visits. It doesn’t identify you personally.
  • AI search. When you type a sentence into the search box, that text is sent to Anthropic (Claude) to work out which business activities you mean. Anonymous copies of searches may be kept for up to 7 days so repeated questions load faster. Please don’t type personal details into the search box.
  • Your browser’s storage. Some features remember your preferences and searches in your own browser. That data stays on your device and isn’t sent to us; clearing your browser data removes it.

We don’t use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

4. How we use your information

  • To reply to your questions and give you quotes
  • To prepare and submit your company, visa or bank applications when you ask us to
  • To check and improve the accuracy of the site
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations

5. Who we share it with

We share your information only when needed: with the free zone, authority, bank or provider you choose, so they can process your application; with service providers that run our tools (such as Cloudflare for hosting, Anthropic for AI search, Meta for WhatsApp and our email provider); and with authorities where the law requires it. Some of these providers may process data outside the UAE.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your messages and documents only as long as needed to handle your request and to meet legal, accounting and regulatory requirements, then delete them.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop using it for a particular purpose. Email help@startwith.ae and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.

8. Children

The site is meant for adults planning a business. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
